Welcome!

Welcome to the new home for Project Top Secret.

Nik is working on setting up the forums and the wiki. Once that's complete we can start planning/working.

As I said on Tuesday, now that this project is fully in our hands we need a somewhat different approach than we were taking. We're no longer "just" a design team. We're a company and they only way to be successful is to approach this in a professional manner. We need to create a company structure, establish criteria that each team member is expected to adhere to, and formulate a plan that will serve as our road map.

We will have a lot of questions that need to be answered before we can really dig into the actual development of the game. We need to know what kind of game we're going to create, where we expect to market it, and how. We need to have realistic expectations which are flexible and can grow with the game. Every team member needs to know their job and we need to fill those jobs that we cannot do ourselves. We need to decide what part those people will play in our company and how we will reward them if they're not full partners.

On Tuesday I proposed that we use the website my guild uses as we move from game to game. However, because we are currently planning on becoming a major guild in SW-TOR, I had some reservations about the safety and security of this project. For that reason I have taken over the website that my son had for his Team Fortress clan, which has now disbanded. This site will be used for nothing but this project. Please try to have some patience while we get the website set up. I originally thought that GoDaddy would be able to do this quicker than they have, but still, it's been less than 48 hours. I'm not sure what the time frame is for Nik to complete the forums, which is number one on my wish list, since it gives us a place to communicate.

While We Wait

While we wait, please give some serious thought to the idea I proposed on Tuesday. Research as many games as you can. Figure out

What did you like about the game?
What did you not like?
Would this work for us?
How would we make money?
How would we publish it?
Does it have features we haven't thought of but could adapt to our design?
